Bank in Croatia
The official currency of the Republic of Croatia is the kuna (divided into 100 lipa).
Foreign currency can be changed in banks, official exchange offices and post offices at
the prevailing rate of exchange. As well as cash, credit cards (American Express, Diners,
Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa) and Eurocheques (which have to be changed into kuna in a bank)
can be used to pay for all goods and services.
Foreign citizens can, when leaving Croatia, get foreign currency back for their unused kuna
upon presentation of an exchange receipt, but only in banks. There are limits on the amount
of Croatian currency that can be imported and exported.
