The island Obonjan is situated on the Croatian side of the Adriatic, 300 km South of the
capital Zagreb and 80 km west of Split. It is located approximately 6 nautical miles from Sibenik.
It lies on the intersection of sea routes between Zlarin, Prvic, Kaprij and Zirje islands.
You can take a pleasant liner ride from Sibenik to Obonjan in about 20 minutes.
Obonjan is also known as the Island of Youth and the Seventh continent, since it was built as a
tourist resort for and according to the vision of the young.

The island is a settlement and a town and an entire continent which has been
"invented" for the young and their leisure.
All facilities and potential on the
island are related exclusively for holiday making, bathing, sports, recreation and education
of children and young people.

The island is inhabited and there is no traffic. There are no
polluters in its closer and farther surroundings, so the island rightfully carries a name of
nature's untouched jewel, with authentic features of an idyllic life in Dalmatia.
|
Foreign language school
Guests can choose one out of following languages:
- English
- German
- Italian
- Spanish
- Croatian

Right after the arrival, they write an entry test. Depending on the results, former knowledge,
years of learning and their age, attendants are then forming smaller groups. Intensive course
lasts for 20 school hours.
The course is held in the morning hours in the open, under centennial pines next to the sea,
on a beach or other suitable location. Lecturers are foreign language teachers and native speakers,
highly educated, professionally trained, specially prepared, mentor-guided and of enviable
teaching experience.
They use audio exercises, textbooks, work material and other educational and didactic equipment
in their classes. As a part their teaching program camp guests can work several hours on
computers in an air-conditioned classroom. At the end of each program, attendants write a final test.
Depending on the results achieved, they receive a diploma - certificate - for the finished program.
Best pupils are given special recognitions and appraisals.
Creative Camp

Contents of creative camp are intended to guests inclined to acting, film, photograph, painting,
other forms of artistic expression, scene and model choreography, music, dancing, singing,
lovers of journalism, natural beauties and robinsonic way of holiday making.

Creative camp includes:
Art group - painting in different techniques, making jewelry, souvenirs, objects from clay,
scenography, scene equipment and masks, body painting, macram�, origami and other are only a part of
offered programs from which the children can choose. By working in this group they have an opportunity
to verify their own (un)revealed talents and artistic inclination. They also have an excellent opportunity
to make their first public appearance as future masters of brush, sculptors or scenographers.

Studio 54 - attendants with music talents and feeling for rhythm can choose school of dancing
(modern and classical), popular music, solo and group singing. Talented ones can practice their
own show and present it to all guests in the final ceremony.

Girls can do the same through scene
and modeling choreography and personal make up. What is more beautiful than to do what you
always wanted to do and enjoy it?
Hollywood - who among us has not wanted to try himself in film, at least once? Either as an actor,
scenographer, director, cameraman or film editor, it doesn't matter. Instead of envying celebrities,
here there is an excellent opportunity to become a part of the celluloid glamour.
Take part in making your movie dreams come true. Record your own film this summer or take part in its making.

Press - can you imagine today's life without newspapers, radio, TV and other electronic media?
There is so much talent, love and devotion in every newspaper article. You will best find that out
if you learn about the types and forms of journalist expression,
|
make your own newspaper or radio show, which will be heard by a hundred of your friends on a beach or
in a restaurant. Or, you can simply show them how they look on your hidden camera recordings.
Robinsons - living with nature, sea and ecology is the need of every modern individual.
Orientation, signalization, observing the stars, survival, fishing, boat, rowing or walking in
untouched nature and studying flora and fauna of Obonjan are just some of the programs of the Robinson
group you can choose this summer and learn the basic scout knowledge. Recognize wind types, orientate
yourself according to the sun, tie a sailor knot, communicate with hand movements, raise a tent, and
enrich your herbal collection with endemic plants. Robinson group offers you all of this.
Based on their personal wishes or talents attendants can choose one of the offered programs.
The programs last for 20 school hours. They are mostly in the morning hours, though special programs
will be held in other times as well. Highly educated experts of adequate academic professions or
practitioners with rich experience run these creative programs.
At the end of each program, attendants do their final work (individually or as a group), or
their work is continually followed and graded. Attendants receive a certificate at the end,
which is a special written commendation.
Sport camp

Sport camp programs are meant for guests who are play a sport actively or as recreation,
as well as for those who have not yet had an opportunity to try a particular sport,
but would like to try it.
Attendants can choose from the following sports:

- Volleyball,
- Table tennis,
- Chess

Guests can choose one from the above named sports in the sport camp. Instructors and coaches are either
teachers of kinesiology with great knowledge and rich experience or active sportsmen.
Sport programs are intended for beginners as well as active sportsmen, and they can serve as
a recreative training or basic preparations for next playing season.
Trainings are divided into conditional, tactical and competitive, and they are held two times a day
in the morning and afternoon hours of day. Time between practices is reserved for planning and
studying sport strategy and tactics.
At the end of sport camp, attendants receive a special certificate, medals and acknowledgements.
Leisure

|
Out of class programs are mutual for all attendants, and are realized between lunch and dinner
until sleeping time. They consist of active rest, organized swimming and playing in the sea,
sport recreations, evening entertainment and unforgettable company.
Young and trained animators brainstorm, realize and control games and camp guests on the beach
and in the sea in early hours of the afternoon.

In late afternoon attendants of Eklata Camp can play sports for recreation, but they are also
welcome to take active part in numerous competitions. Entertainment and good company of
Eklata Camp in an impressive amphitheatre are special and exclusive.
|
|
Team of excellent animators together with participants of these performances present unique
spectacles under stage lights every night. There is everything from welcoming party to
election of congeniality and beauty, king and queen of the island, to Mediterranean and African
nights, aliens nights, gold fever, dance nights to the talent show and other contents.
|
In order to make communication and understanding as easy as possible, Camp Eklata uses
English as language of communication.
Accommodation
|
|
Camp guests are situated in depandances, in rooms with six beds (three high beds).
Rooms are equipped with a bathroom with a toilet and a shower. The rooms are comfortable
and clean with lots of fresh air and there is enough closet space for everybody.
|
Teachers, sports coaches, creative animators and organizers are situated right next to rooms for camp guests.
Smaller number of attendants can be placed, if they so choose, in a pavilion, in rooms with several beds,
which lies very close to the depandances.
Safety
|
Camp guests are taken care of throughout the whole day, accompanying
and transport personnel take them from the starting point to the destination where teachers,
coaches and other educational personnel, bay watch, trained animators and swimming teachers
take care of them full time. The children are under twenty-four-hour surveillance.
|
While the children are in class they are being overlooked and controlled by teachers. During leisure
time their safety is entrusted with team of animators. When they are playing together, or are at sea,
or on a trip, complete personnel are responsible for their safety.
|
|
There is a medical doctor with permanent residence on Obonjan who takes care of health of
everybody in the camp day and night in a medical clinic. For urgent interventions there is
a fast powerboat at disposal. All camp guests are insured at an insurance company at the
cost of the organizer.
