About

Between Kutjevo and Vocin lies the forest area declared a nature park on April 23, 1999, which attracts biologists and day-trippers, animal lovers and researchers in every season. Smaller areas within the park have already been officially protected. Rupnica, e.g. became the oldest geological natural monument in Croatia on October 14, 1948. Sekulinacke planine is a forest reserve that has been protected since 1966. Here, hikers could actually find completely untouched nature – if the park’s statute did not oblige them to stay on the trails.

If you want to see some culture as well as nature, you can do this in Ruzica grad. The medieval fort was one of the largest in Croatia and its ruins testify to past power. Among other things, ancient evidence of craftsmanship from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages was found, which you can of course also examine.
