Apartment Sarema – Zagreb center

Very centrally located appartment, in the heart of Zagreb, provides you cosy shelter after day out on a town… Just minutes from the main square of Zagreb, walking distance from the central bus station, central train station, with tram just around the corner, gives your stay in Zagreb added value.

Apartment is equipped with all that you might need while away from home, and what is missing, can easily be provided.

In the area all within 5 min walk you will find: – Main Jelacic Square – Cvjetno square with cafes and resturants – Zrinjevac park – Upper town with historical Parliament, galleries, museums and churches – one of the oldest is St Marko located on the Upper town – you are close to the tram stations, the main mean of public transport in Zagreb – historical Zagreb Funiculaire is just 5 minutes from the flat – street Tkalciceva – with plenty of caffees, a place to see and be seen!

There are many cafes nearby, restaurants, grocery shops, bakery and a multiplex cinema. Four public garages are within 100 metres (two just around the corner and two inside shopping malls around the block). Central market Dolac is 5 minutes stroll from the apartment – this is absolutely a must! Farmers come here every day to sell their own products. The market is open every day from 7 a.m. till 2 p.m. Fantastic fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat and fish that you can prepare when back at the apartment after a coffee break on Tkalciceva street (cafe Mecca in Zagreb), next to the market. Welcome! 🙂

The space

The apartment is 46m² and can host 5 persons. It has living room, kitchen and dining corner in one room as an open plan. Bathroom and toilett are separate. In the other part of the apartment are two bedrooms, on the quiet side of the building, away from the street noise, so even though the apartment is on a busy road, you will have quiet nights.

Interaction with guests

We mainly meet our guests at the check in, and then again at the check out, if not otherwise arranged. We tend to contact our guests by e-mail during their stay to check if there’s something they need. Otherwise, they are left alone to explore the city and use the apartment as their own home.

Other Things to Note

Parking – it is pretty difficult to park in the town center, but there is an indoor public garage within the block (garaza Petrinjska), where you pay €8/24 hours.
Alternatively, we can point you to the free parking upon your arrival.
Parking on the streets in the center is limited to 2 hours. On Saturdays after 15h, Sundays and public holidays parking is free of charge.

The neighbourhood

Apartment is situated in a quiet but busy road some 5-7 minutes stroll from the main square. Our ex president lives just down the road, so it is quite secure as well. There is a restaurant just accross the street from the apartment, and a small coffee shop, where you can get your coffee to go, if you bring your own cup! 😉 Down the road is a club ‘Sax’, very main stream but funky, you’d enjoy your night out there. Few minutes from the apartment is park Zrinjevac, where you can relax in the greenery.

Getting around

Zagreb has a pretty good tram network, so you can get pretty much anywhere by tram. Jelacic square is a good crossing point, so if you walk till there, you can get almost anywhere in Zagreb from the main city square. Buses and trains are good option for inter city travels. Both main bus station and main train station are at 20 minute walk from our apartment.
We have a good taxi refference, if you prefer that method – let me know.

House rules

The purpose of the House Rules is to insure that all guests may enjoy a pleasant stay in my apartment.

• Smoking in the apartment is not allowed
• Careful and responsible use of the apartment and its contents is requested.
• The guest is asked to treat the apartment and its contents with the same care as though it were his/her own.
• check in: from 13h00 – 21h00. Late check in fee: €10 upon arrival.
• check out: till 10h00 on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed
• Guests are expected to respect ‘quiet hours’ in the building from 22h00 till 06h00

Arrival instructions

If you are arriving from the airport, you can either get a shuttle bus to main bus station (Autobusni kolodvor), and then catch a tram nr. 8, get off at the 4th stop, and you are around the corner from our apartment.
Taxi from the airport is expensive, let us know if you’d prefer that method, and we will arrange a taxi for you at low cost.
From the main train station (Glavni kolodvor) you can easily walk up to our apartment.
