River and sea kayaking as well as hiking are included in the program as everyday activities and are suitable for all ages. The sea and rivers are friendly – they have pleasant temperatures in summer and they are not dangerous or physically demanding. Novigrad is a small fisherman’s village situated on the coast of Adriatic Sea deep in Novigrad Bay. The village has managed to preserve its authentic traditional architecture, untouched by modern tourism. It is scattered along the coastline under well preserved 13th century fortress Fortica. The Novigrad Bay area is surrounded by national parks and nature reserves: Kornati Islands, Krka River, Paklenica Canyon, Plitvice Lakes, Velebit Mountain, Telascica Bay, Vrana Lake. The morning fisherman’s market and quiet village atmosphere are perfect for guests who want to get away from big summer crowds yet feel good in a friendly atmosphere. It is absolutely not a typical tourist-hotel resort. Its pleasant cafe and restaurant terrace give memorable views of the sunset over the bay and Velebit Mountain peaks.
